While I learned a lot from the conversation, I got most from the chorus of laughter, that one moment when all of you just laughed. It seemed that you laughed for the pleasure of being together, of doing the work and of sharing the work with each other. For all the words we use to describe our experiences and to explore Huna, that moment said all that and more.
It was the sound of aloha.

Really nice stuff from everyone
Fib I work in IT so I kept hearing you denial of serivise comment and thingking turn offf icmp. but on the other side you ku remembers everything you see touch and everyhing else so if you lono knows it so does your ku. the only problem arises os when you set a pattern and ask it to go against the pattern.
Meham I love tarot , tarot and huna pretty much make up my spirtuality( well how I interact with it any way) I kind of think of the fool card as the ku the combination of mage and emperor make it the lono , I think the high prestess and heriphant make up the communacation between ku and lono. amakua ( not really sure about this yet) might be the star
I really loved listing to our conversation about lono we laughed a lot.
I am fine with the timeing of the last conferance.

oh and I was thinking about the exchange between kuel and I + tiago about the " training" of lono and ku
maybe the seperatio is an illusaon fits here.
as by them selvs if we train them to be seperate they will not work I think training them to work/ communacate together as a ying/tang thing might be a better way of thinking about it.

Yeah, the training part of the conversation lingered with me also. I think my Aikido experience held the upper hand though, because we focused toward letting Lono stay out of the way of Ku operating at its most efficient by giving it something to focus on: technique. I guess we were looking at Lono-Ku as a mind-body relationship.
The focus was on learning how to recognize the senations of the body as information, take whatever steps were needed to fix anything difficult, and rejoice in the flow when it all worked out. Translating some of this into what Pohaku said about working with Ku: when you get a "no", when the body doesn't do what the mind asks, there's a problem.I guess the flow we were working on it the easy connection between captain and crew, mind and body, lono and ku.
Also, what was said about Intent connected with the aikido practice, because later, I heard a show on the radio (kvmr.org-- plays Hawaiian music on Sundays :D ) talking about clarifying intent. With the ship metaphor, there is leadership all the way down the line. Each section has its "captain". Some of what gets me in trouble is when I try to "micro-manage", when I try to direct all the sub-captains of Ku rather than trusting them to do their jobs.
(I guess I really am shifting away from the sailing metaphor and into a seaside harbor-- the ku-mmunity. If so, does that mean that a captain on the ocean is a manager in town?)

I really like Silverdeer's mention of how in her pre-Huna days she spent a lot of time in Lono, unaware that there was more. I find that interesting because although I knew there was other levels of consciousness, from being a student of psychology, I did not have the notion of re-training the ku. So I, too, did not have the awareness of all three states of consciousness. She went on to say that she spent all of her time in Lono unaware that there was such a richer way to live. I too feel this way. I enjoyed hearing everyone's voices. Kue'l mentioned that Lono's motivation was towards order, and ku's was towards pleasure. That brought me some new insight. Really loved that show, thanks everyone!
