Hello Jerry!

So much to say. I've been listening to your HunaTraining Podcast for months now, and I can't tell you how grateful I am to you for making these podcasts. They've served as an invaluable reminder of the Huna principals.

Anyway, I thought I'd chime in on my experience with the getting-the-box exercise:

---

A huge stone wall looms above me. How will I get over it to the box? What if I flew? I build a glider, a solar-powered one, and soon take off into the air. I'm zooming so high above the city now, and the people below are waving to me. I wave back and look forward to my goal. A towering pillar in the distance holds the box to the sky. But there's no place to land. What will I do? Suddenly I get an idea. I can scoop it up. Carefully angling my approach, I dive down and grab the box with my right arm, quickly pulling back up to avoid a collision. In mid-flight I quickly take a look of what's inside the box. Strange, there is a rainbow inside with a layer of sand on the bottom of the box. I must confess I'm still not sure what this means, but I know it means something to my subconscious mind. I put the box into my pocket and look towards the sky. A beautiful sunset is before me.

Jerry,

I love your pod casts. they have been invaluable to me. I am so grateful to you and all of the members of this bulletin board for all that you are. I have found such a profound way of connecting in my life, that I am finally finding true happiness. You have helped me to be able to do that. I couldn't help myself but to try to think about how I might respond to that exercise of guards and a walled city, with the goal of reaching the box. Here's my thoughts on that:

My way of reaching the goal would be to make friends with the guards, to find a way to create a win/win so that we can both gain something from looking at what is in the box. What I find may be different from what they find, but in seeking a way for all of us to benefit, we find that we no longer need to defend anything. My idea is to get us all to open the box, and for us to share what is inside. Now there is an opportunity for service, plus finding a way to sort of shape shift so that others can see me as someone they can relate to, as I convince them that opening the box is in all of our best interests. To me, the box represents opportunity for all people to connect, in that connection, lies the real gift.

Again, thank you. 8)
